Le mashup est une discipline musicale qui consiste à mélanger deux titres existants en un seul nouveau titre. En France, le mashup est aussi appelé bootleg. Tous les styles musicaux pouvant être utilisés, le genre mashup est désigné sous l'appellation générique bastard pop. Souvent, le nom d'un mashup est la combinaison des noms des deux morceaux originaux. Un mashup étant un mix de deux ou plusieurs artistes, il est réalisé sans but commercial et est donc téléchargeable gratuitement.
